Go-kon Open Log

Welcome to the wonderful fall weekend go-kon dating event! Though typically karaoke is a rather intimate affair, Oshitari rented out a larger room to accommodate the crowd. There’s an open bar area with snacks and soft drinks; a few high tops surround it, dotting the way toward some of the comfier couches that frame the small stage. Around the stage the room is dimly lit, illuminated mostly by a few low lamps and flittering disco lights. The snacks, however, are perfectly illuminated.

Whether or not you put yourself on Oshitari's list, you can show up. Either you're someones plus one or you PM'd Oshitari last minute.

(ooc: (1) While there will be NPC characters there, keep in mind that they're all friends of friends. As such, they're all perfectly nice people who would not take advantage of anyone. Use them as you see fit.
(2) While I know there are large drinks being offered for free, please do not get your character dangerously drunk. Intoxicated and a little sloppy is fine, but please no hospitalization/extreme illness. Keep it fun!)

"Size shouldn't be a determining factor in what sport you play. If you're good at it, then it doesn't matter," Yukimura said. Though, he would make some exceptions. Gymnastics, for one, was easier if you were smaller and lighter. Yukimura mirrored Kuroko's smile. "Tennis, for me. What school do you go to?"

"I'm a literature student at Johoga," Kuroko explained. He agreed with Yukimura, but he didn't really like the implication that you had to be a good player to play a sport. Kuroko wasn't talented, but his love for basketball made him practice until he could support his teammates.

He hadn't thought Yukimura was an athlete. His graceful physique was deceiving. "What about you?"

Yukimura thumbed the rim of his tea mug. He didn't quite know what someone would do with a literature degree. It was probably a lot of writing and reading. Too boring to keep attention for very long. "Fine art at Togei," he replied eventually.

"That sounds interesting. Do you have a medium you prefer?" Kuroko was creative, but he had never been especially good at painting or drawing. He used his words to illustrate scenes and emotions that he couldn't express otherwise. Yukimura must be talented to pursue art and tennis at university.

"Watercolors," Yukimura said with a bright smile. "I've been doing a lot with acrylics lately though." He really needed to finish some paintings rather than start new ones. Inspiration was temperamental like that. "What style do you like best? Literature-wise."
