Welcome to the wonderful fall weekend go-kon dating event! Though typically karaoke is a rather intimate affair, Oshitari rented out a larger room to accommodate the crowd. There’s an open bar area with snacks and soft drinks; a few high tops surround it, dotting the way toward some of the comfier couches that frame the small stage. Around the stage the room is dimly lit, illuminated mostly by a few low lamps and flittering disco lights. The snacks, however, are perfectly illuminated.

Whether or not you put yourself on Oshitari's list, you can show up. Either you're someones plus one or you PM'd Oshitari last minute.

(ooc: (1) While there will be NPC characters there, keep in mind that they're all friends of friends. As such, they're all perfectly nice people who would not take advantage of anyone. Use them as you see fit.
(2) While I know there are large drinks being offered for free, please do not get your character dangerously drunk. Intoxicated and a little sloppy is fine, but please no hospitalization/extreme illness. Keep it fun!)

"Midorima-kun, how are you?" Kuroko greeted his old teammate. Midorima had been standing next to him looking at the list for a little bit, but Kuroko guessed that Midorima had only just noticed him.

"I'm well, and you?" Midorima replied then downed the second shot. He wasn't normally the type to drink coffee, but he knew the effects of caffeine and just hoped he didn't get too hyper. "I was unaware you were attending."

"Satsuki-chan suggested that I try meeting new people. I thought it might be easier to meet people here, but not very many people seem to notice me." Kuroko explained. He eyed the shots of coffee that Midorima was quickly drinking. The possible affects of that much caffeine on someone like Midorima were probably not good.

Bless Momoi's heart. At least Kuroko was trying. "Maybe because you prefer not to be noticed," Midorima speculated, nudging the third shot to Kuroko. The quiet young man needed the energy more than he did.

Kuroko drank the shot of espresso hesitantly. He wasn't much for coffee, but since he wasn't drinking age yet it was one the few things he could drink at the party. It was bitter, just like Midorima's observation. Was Kuroko subconsciously avoiding people?
"I prefer not to be noticed during a game, but when I'm off the court I don't like to be overlooked. But I'm used to it by now."

Midorima frowned. Though, that was usually his expression when dealing with any of his old teammates. "If you don't want to be overlooked off the court, you have to be more of a presence," he said, pushing up his glasses. If Kuroko really wanted something, Midorima knew he'd work on it until he was at his breaking point.
