When: Saturday, February 13th. 10pm-2am

The DMDU library lights shine dimly with a spookiness that doesn't quite match the holiday. Fortunately, each pair card is placed neatly atop a flashlight and a mission pamphlet. Some of the pairs were planned while others were matched by Oshitari, the MC and organizer of the event.

The matched singles received notification of their partner, but only two hours prior to the actual evening event.

Teams:
You know who you are

Single matches:
Hitouji Yuuji-Oshitari Yuushi
Kominato Haruichi-Kise Ryouta
Niou Masaharu-Atobe Keigo
Tezuka Kunimitsu-Yukimura Seiichi

Once you rendezvous with your partner, proceed to the course. It doesn't matter which order you go in, as long as you have visit each of the ten set ups and retrieve a stamp. Use the map to navigate the large medical library from challenge table to challenge table. The first to finish will receive a glorious prize.

By the way, watch out for traps. There are trip wires everywhere, not to trip, but to trigger tiny heart glitter balls, and if you dare peek at one of the fake challenge tables (they are labeled on the map as challenges), you may find yourself locked in.

When you have completed the course to your satisfaction, you may retreat to one of the study rooms where bedding and snacks are set up for everyone to get comfortable for the night.

(ooc: Quick notes:

1. no need to play out EVERY set up. But it is to your benefit to play as many as possible

2. many of the challenges will use dice to determine a wheel spin or pulling something out of a bag)

3. if you have any questions, or you don't understand something, please message me or comment for clarification)

Miki waved back as she trotted off to go find the letter that Makishima wrote for her. She couldn't wait to see what he wrote in his letter. The only problem was, seeing as it was a library finding the exact book Makishima used was going to take forever, if she could even find it.

First, Miki checked the satire section, none of the books seemed like they were picked over for someone to stick a letter in. That was a no go! Going to the sports section seemed to not bring any results either. This was quite the difficult challenge. "Hmmm..." Miki couldn't help but say out loud as she headed into the foreign section.

Makishima was strolling without really thinking while looking around. He couldn't find anything in the comedy section nor the romance section that he'd passed by so far. Walking a little more, he was back at the foreign section again. He scratched his head... Yeah, why not look around here as well. He started from the English literature... none. German... French... Dutch? He stopped as his eyes caught something--a book that was put facing front instead of by its spine. Could this be it? He reached for the book and looked at its title.

The Story of My Baldness? He scratched his head. Was it Miki's way of telling him about the danger of baldness if his hair wasn't taken care of well? He knew Miki was an attentive girl toward her friends, but it kind of surprised him... Wait, you were jumping to the conclusion too fast, Makishima. It could be that someone just made a mistake of putting the book that way. He opened the book and--voila, there was a letter. Was it really Miki's? Did she really put her letter here? Was it random or was it intentional? He batted his eyelids rapidly, eyebrows furrowed, as he opened the letter.

"Dear Ryuu-kun ♡" Oh crap, it wasn't Miki's letter, he thought, both glad and panicked. He closed the paper quickly, slipped it inside the book again, and put the book back as he'd found it. He almost forgot that there were other people participating in this challenge as well, so he was bound to find something like this. He realized how easy it was to tamper with other people's letters... And hoped no one did it to Miki's.

More determined now, he started walking around again, slowly reaching up to the Spanish literature section.

Once Miki entered the foreign section, it hit her! Maybe the book would be in here? Makishima did spend some time in the UK, so that could have been a big hint right there! She quickly strode over to the English section, looking for any books that stuck out to her. If she knew Makishima well enough, there would probably some kind of way the book stuck out, making it easy for her to find.

Hamlet Nope. Harry Potter Nothing. Pride and Prejudice Nada. Nothing else stuck out to Miki, so she gave up and glanced through the other countries for any signs of a book sticking out.

A sigh escaped from her lips as she finished looking through the German books. This was proving to be a very difficult task!

Finally, Miki reached the Norwegian section. She was beginning to doubt that she would find Makishima's book in the foreign section. That is, until she saw a book sticking out halfway. Maybe that was it?!

Sjöfn was the title of the book and it looked to be a story about a Norwegian goddess. "Scofon?" Miki pronounced quietly to herself. No Miki, that was definitely not how you pronounce the book.

Spain was an intriguing country for Makishima, and surprisingly he'd never visited it before. Maybe he should do that next time he was going to Europe again--oh? His thoughts were halted by a book that was halfway sticking out. He reached for it... Don Quixote? He stared at it fondly. It was one of his favorite stories; how Don Quixote came to life made him snicker the first time he read it, and the way the book was written had kept him hooked from the very first page. He'd read both the Japanese and English versions of it, but secretly hoping to be able to read it in its original language some day.

It might be someone else's letter like the first one he'd found, but of course he'd check. It would be nice if Miki's letter was really inside, he thought as he opened the book... and found a letter. Oh. He opened it carefully, not wanting to accidentally read someone else's letter as he did with the first one. He peeked into the first line...

'Dear Makishima-san...' His eyes widened. He'd found it!
