Welcome to the wonderful fall weekend go-kon dating event! Though typically karaoke is a rather intimate affair, Oshitari rented out a larger room to accommodate the crowd. There’s an open bar area with snacks and soft drinks; a few high tops surround it, dotting the way toward some of the comfier couches that frame the small stage. Around the stage the room is dimly lit, illuminated mostly by a few low lamps and flittering disco lights. The snacks, however, are perfectly illuminated.

Whether or not you put yourself on Oshitari's list, you can show up. Either you're someones plus one or you PM'd Oshitari last minute.

(ooc: (1) While there will be NPC characters there, keep in mind that they're all friends of friends. As such, they're all perfectly nice people who would not take advantage of anyone. Use them as you see fit.
(2) While I know there are large drinks being offered for free, please do not get your character dangerously drunk. Intoxicated and a little sloppy is fine, but please no hospitalization/extreme illness. Keep it fun!)

Mingle around the snack table! Extra food and alcoholic beverages can be ordered at no cost from the employee (either Zaizen or one of his colleagues) coming in and out.

Looking around the table he was glad when he spotted a young man wearing what seemed to be the uniform of the establishment Yuushi had hired. "Excuse me." He addressed what he hoped was a waiter. "I would like a bottle of water. And make it the largest you have."

"Big bottle of water?" Kasamatsu looked up from what he was doing and smiled a bit like a good little worker bee, "Sure. Anything else?" Wow he was an attractive guy. His voice reminded him of Aomine's...though he was definitely more polite.

"No, that's it for the moment." He gifted his best pleasant smile at the young man. "Just sooner rather than later would be good." With that he passed over a folded bill. "And if you could keep that guy over there supplied with drinks with a similiar alcohol level I would appreciate it." He nodded over to Sanada who seemed fascinated by his hands for some reason.

Kasamatsu looked over to the giant guy sitting there, "Oh, the bouncer at Swaggers? Yeah, alright." He blinked at being handed money, "Oh, everything has already been paid for, sir--" He got the big bottle of water out of the fridge.

The young man had obviously not been working in the service industry for long yet. "I know." He chuckled, pushing the bill over again. "This is for you. Consider it a thank you for looking out for my friend."

Kasamatsu blinked a few times but took it, "Oh....t...thank you?" Guess who was going to be able to afford food now!! Woo! "Should I take this over to him or would you like to?" He gestured to the water bottle.

"I'll do it." He replied, taking the bottle from the younger man. "Just don't forget I am relying on you." He added before walking away with a wave.

Well... Tanaka had thought this was a good idea until his third beer later and just no luck at all. He had dressed up kind of nice for a change, cleaned up his appearance and was even being wary of his facial expressions. Plus he had left his dearest motorcycle home so he could partake in drinks responsibly while he tried to mingle. Only... it wasn't working in his favor at all.

Now he sat in the corner, downing his beers as the night went on and people seemed to be getting into the swing of things. The matches were being made and if not friends were finding friends to hang with. Man this blew... he had the worst luck. And he was even on his best behavior!

Kuroo was walking around the room when he spotted a gloomy one on a corner. By now he had had quite a bit of champagne in him - while he wasn't drunk yet, he was definitely a lot more chatty and energetic than usual. "Yooo, if it isn't Tanaka. What's with the long face?" He plopped himself beside Tanaka after flashing a smirk at him.

Tanaka just let out a sigh. Course the only attention he'd attracted was someone he not only knew but was his neighbor. But some company was better than none. "Ain't a long face just... a normal one." At least he hoped so he was trying his damnedest! He took another swig of his beer to be safe though. "Bet you're having better luck." The guy at least seemed more smug than normal, if that was even possible.

Aw, look at that. What a pathetic look. Kuroo felt for him.

"Me? Luck? Nah," he leaned back to the sofa, resting his arms on the top of it. "As you can see I'm not getting any hook-ups. Just like you."

"What? No way weren't you just sharing drinks with some cuties?" Tanaka blinked at him in shock. Not that he could really tell what girls were into anymore especially at university. But aside from his weirdo personality he figured they liked a guy like Kuroo's style or something. "Shit then this thing is really a bust..." Then again seeing some people there well... wasn't hard to tell he was out of his league.

Kuroo thought back. Cuties? Oh, did he mean An? "Naw, she was just a classmate I got along with, it's nothing like that." He then leaned forward to Tanaka, "That's why I'm here for you, aren't I?" As always with his antics.

That just had Tanaka leaning back into his seat and away from the guy. Man he should see this stuff coming from him by now considering they had been neighbors so long. He rubbed the back of his neck and let out another small sigh. "Yeah, yeah. Real funny... that's a bummer though she was pretty cute." He knew he wouldn't have minded having her for a classmate but he probably wouldn't have crossed any lines in that case either. "Must be nice having a bunch of girls on campus." Kaiko definitely wasn't the place to see too many of them that was for sure.

Watching Tanaka inching away just made Kuroo move closer to him. "Aww, how cold of you, Ryuunosuke-kun." He leaned his head on his shoulder like it was nothing. "Hmm, yeah An-san's pretty cute," looking up to Tanaka, he grinned. "What, haven't had any lately? Need some help?"

Surely, Kuroo was asking for it. It being a punch in the face.

Dammit he should have known better, especially since the guy had alcohol in him. But so did Tanaka... maybe he just needed more. He drank down the last of his beer and slammed it down on the table. At least it wasn't hard enough to knock anything over. It was enough to shrug off his advance for the moment at least.

"No I haven't, so what." he wasn't going to be all shy about it. At least not like he usually would when not drinking at a party. But he was feeling pretty moody and down and the beer buzz only amplified it. Pride be damned, Tanaka was lonely.

Oooh, grumpy boy was grumpy. Being shrugged off from Tanaka's shoulder, Kuroo leaned down, settling his elbow on his own thigh, resting his cheek on his palm. He turned to look at Tanaka.

"Can't be helped. Kuroo-san will accompany you for the night, then." Oh, wasn't he such a good friend?

Tanaka eyed him warily. As annoying as the guy was he still was his friend though... sorta... maybe just neighbor was a safer word after all. Kuroo was freaking nuts but sometimes that was refreshing in a weird way. Maybe his crazy was rubbing off on him because of his buzz.

"Whatever... ain't like I'll get a girl over here at this rate." Better than spending the night moping in the corner at least. "Get my another drink and maybe I won't punch you the next second you piss me off tonight."

Watching Tanaka was so much fun. His expressions just kept switching from one to another, Kuroo probably had not seen someone so animated while being grumpy. "Aww, there there," he really did mean to comfort but most probably sounded annoying instead.

"Had thought you'd need some. Here," lifting the glass he had put on the table in front of them, he smirked. "I got a bottle of champagne on that drinking game thing. You can have a glass."

"Well aren't you generous." he rolled his eyes a bit at the offer but it was still a drink nonetheless. He took the bottle from him and poured them both a new glass full. Even if it was questionable sometimes, Kuroo was still technically Tanaka's senpai after all. Even if they weren't going to the same schools or anything, Tanaka respected the idea of senpai kouhai relations quite a bit.

"So... why'd you even bother coming to this anyway?" Tanaka questioned curiously, raising a brow to him in question as he lifted his glass to toast before drinking.

"Pfft. 'Course I am," Kuroo snorted, relaxing back to his seat. "I don't mind if you want to drink more than a glass, but careful not to drink too much." He watched Tanaka's base of head, muffling his giggle. The small concave on the center of it seemed funny to him, for whatever reason it was.

The question launched his way surprised him more than anything. Why, huh. "Curious?" A devious smile formed on his lips.

"Hell no. Just thought I'd ask..." Tanaka grumbled into his drink. He only intended to take a swig but that turned into downing the whole thing in one gulp. Oh well... champagne wouldn't hit him too hard-- at least he thought so at the moment.

Kuroo snorted. "People watching." His smile soon faded off his face, though. "Oi oi, pace yourself." Sitting up, he searched for Tanaka's face, making sure the younger boy was fine.
